IATF has announced the publication of a new quality management requirements for automotive industry as IATF 16949:2016. It adopts the ten-clause structure of the Annex SL and is aligned to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Riding on the framework of process approach (APA) with risk based thinking (RBT), the IATF 16949:2016 was written to include consideration for customer specific requirements.  3.    Internal/ Supplier Auditor Program

Conducting internal (1st party) and supplier audit (2nd party) is a vital tool to assess organization’s / and or supplier quality management system. The organization gets information in a planned way by conducting internal audit from a variety of sources. An internal audit is a tool to monitor and determine the health of the quality management system of the organization. COURSE OBJECTIVE

Core tools in IATF 16949 are referring to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Potential Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).  These core tools are often difficult for users to master and it is even more challenging for auditors to understand and audit the application.

INTRODUCTION

VDA 6.3 is a platform which will help improve the standard for evaluating and improving standards in manufacturing. This German Automotive industry developed module is an assessment method which is used to evaluate capability and quality management system. The 8D method provides a framework to utilize the experience and expertise in your organization to implement permanent solutions.  Disciplines within 8D are clear and easily applied to all levels of the organization and provide a documented history of improvements. Originally developed by the Ford Motor Company, the model is now extensively used in manufacturing, service and public sector environments.
